About Me

Santina Di Salvo is an Associate Professor in Architectural Technology at the University of Palermo (DARCH, Italy), where she teaches Environmental Design and Architectural Construction. Her academic work focuses on sustainable architecture, adaptive systems, innovative biomaterials, and urban resilience. She has authored numerous scientific publications on bio-integrated façades, energy retrofit, and climate-responsive strategies, and has coordinated international research projects on the ecological transition in Mediterranean and Balkan cities. A peer reviewer for journals such as Sustainability (MDPI), Architecture (MDPI), and Buildings (MDPI), she is also actively involved in educational innovation and public engagement initiatives. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges design, technology, and environmental ethics, aiming to foster equitable and regenerative urban futures.
