About Me

Hiam Loutfi (ElZein) is a professor in Educational Management. She received her BA in Psychology and MA in Educational Psychology (Guidance and Counseling) from the American University of Beirut, and her EdD in Educational Management from Leicester University, England, and Graduate Diploma in International Child and Youth Care and Development from University of Victoria- British Colombia, Canada. She held the position of instructor and Humanities coordinator at Lebanese American University. Then moved to Rafik Hariri University, where she held the role of chairperson at the College of Arts and Sciences, then Dean of the same college and later Interim President for one year. Lately she joined MUBS as the Dean of the faculty of Arts and Science.   Dr. Loutfi’s research interests are in peace education, conflict resolution, war trauma, and early childhood development, among other topics. She has published numerous research papers, presented her work at conferences, and conducted various workshops for teachers, parents, and students on topics such as psychological awareness and support, peace education, conflict transformation, and child support and care. She has received numerous grants from various organizations.
