The
Government Law Review invites the submission of scholarly articles on
topics related to education law, including federal, state, local,
tribal, international, and non-traditional educational systems and their
regulation and management. We seek to publish insightful, timely
analysis of the evolving state of education law and policy.
We seek to include articles in this issue that will complement our academic symposium in February. This year's symposium theme is Transforming Futures: Education, Law, and Youth Wellbeing, and promises to be a dynamic gathering of legal minds where innovative ideas, cutting-edge research, and insightful discourse will be shared. The symposium particularly focuses on the biggest issues facing education in New York, including special education, supporting students with disabilities, and equity in education.
The
GLR accepts article submissions through Scholastica exclusively. Please attach a
current resume or CV to your submission. While the GLR has no page-count
requirement for submissions, most articles we publish are between 8,000
and 30,000 words. At this time, the GLR is not accepting submissions
from current law students.
The GLR will accept submissions for this special issue through December 15th, 2025, with decisions on a rolling basis through December 31st, 2025 and publication of Issue 2 in Late Spring/Early Summer 2026.
For
questions regarding submissions, please contact our Managing Editor for
Submissions, Sam Poyer, via email at spoyer@albanylaw.edu. We look forward to
reviewing your work.
