The Sustainable Development Law & Policy Brief is accepting submissions for its Spring 2025 and Fall 2025 Editions on topics related to Sustainable Development and Environmental Law.
The Sustainable Development Law and Policy Brief (SDLP) is a student-run publication established in 1997 in collaboration with the Center on International Environmental Law. The publication has hundreds of subscribers worldwide. With the support of the faculty and dedicated students at American University Washington College of Law, SDLP publishes two issues per year, both online and in print. Each publication highlights articles and notes by practitioners as well as students. Through the novel legal arguments and distinguished authors, SDLP has become a well-known and respected publication throughout the environmental and sustainable law field.
If you would like to submit an article for consideration, please contact us at sdlp.wcl@gmail.com. We will accept submissions through Scholastica and email on a rolling basis. The deadline for submissions is 11:59 PM on March 7, 2025.
We will consider any article that contains strong legal arguments relating to sustainable development, infrastructure, environmental law, energy law, climate justice, or other sustainability-related content. However, we are particularly interested in articles that fit into the following topic areas:
· The role of state and local laws and policies in addressing environmental issues and building sustainability
· Climate change around the world: intersections of climate change with U.S., international, and foreign law
SDLP is available online at LexisNexis, Westlaw, SSRN, Hein Online, and on our website at www.sdlp.strikingly.com
We reserve the right to reconsider submissions at any time. We also reserve the right to hold all submissions on file for later publication and reserve the right to provide comments and revisions as the editors see fit.
