The Journal of the Australian and New Zealand Student Services Association (JANZSSA) is inviting submissions for a 2025 special issue on addressing gender-based violence in tertiary institutions.
Gender-based violence is an issue of concern and focus within tertiary education across Australia and globally, evidenced by recent national surveys and an Australian Federal Government action plan and forthcoming national code.
Guest edited by Laura Burge (Swick Learning), Friederike Gadow (ANU), and Elli Darwinkel (Monash University), this special issue will inform crucial advancements across the tertiary education sector by sharing and evaluating national and international strategies and practices in gender-based violence prevention and response.
This issue will highlight challenges and opportunities in prevention and response programs to promote respect, prevent gender-based violence, respond to disclosures of harm, and improve student safety.
JANZSSA welcomes submissions of peer-reviewed articles, professional practice papers, book reviews, and articles in non-traditional formats (such as written interviews) for this special issue.
